COMPADRE Admissions Information Session
Please join us for an informational webinar to learn about the California Oregon Medical Partnership to Address Disparities in Rural Education and Health (COMPADRE) program. COMPADRE is a robust collaboration between UC Davis and OHSU medical schools and over 30 graduate medical education (GME) programs across 10 health care systems throughout northern California and Oregon. COMPADRE aims to recruit learners that want to address physician shortages in underserved urban, rural, and tribal communities that result in health disparities due to community members’ limited access to adequate health care. Adaptable and service-oriented
Community support endorsement showcasing record of service
Some of the benefits of COMPADRE for learners are:
Professional identity formation geared to target population
Longitudinal integrated clinical and community experience
Potential early Residency placement in all Primary Care fields (Family Med, Internal Med, Pediatrics) as well as Psychiatry, OB-GYN, General Surgery and Emergency Medicine
Learning community and cohort-based peer engagement
Access to regional resources at both UC Davis and Oregon Health and Science University Schools of Medicine

COMPADRE College Virtual Prep Series
COMPADRE College is an outreach program and webinar series for high school, undergraduate, and post-graduate students interested in serving rural and medically underserved communities as physicians.
These webinars will focus on:
early exposure to medical professions, professional identity development, and academic strategy for high school students with outreach events and hands-on activities.
guiding and preparing undergraduate/post-graduate pre-medical students through the medical school application process with workshops on different aspects of the medical school application and admissions process.
