1. Learners

We are excited to welcome medical trainees at all stages who are committed to serving in low-resourced areas — whether you are a pre-medical student, medical student, or resident. COMPADRE offers valuable networking opportunities to support your career pathway and keep you connected to rural, tribal, and underserved communities throughout your training.

>>>> Pre-medical students: Explore resources designed to support your journey:

>>>> Medical students (UC Davis and OHSU): Your COMPADRE experience will vary based on your school's curriculum. For specific questions, please reach out to info@learncompadre.com.

>>>> Residents: If you are enrolled in a COMPADRE-affiliated residency program, please contact your program leadership about opportunities for custom electives at rural or underserved sites.

2. GME Programs

If you are a GME program based in a rural, tribal, or underserved community in Northern California or Oregon, we invite you to join our COMPADRE collaborative! Benefits include:

>>>> Attendance at the Annual In-Person COMPADRE Meeting

>>>> Networking opportunities with other GME programs across specialties, focused on addressing community workforce needs

3. Community-Based Health Centers

If you are a federally qualified health center (FQHC), rural health center, tribal health center, or community-based hospital not currently affiliated with a GME program, we welcome you to join our COMPADRE network!

Our goal is to train more physicians to work in healthcare settings just like yours. There is evidence that shows that training in a community increases the likelihood that physicians will return to practice there. We invite you to join our collaborative and serve as clinical training sites for COMPADRE medical students and residents. Additionally, we are happy to share job postings from your community site!
