Pre-Medical Students

We seek students/applicants who are committed to becoming physicians who will  serve in low-resourced areas. In particular, we are interested in learners from rural, urban and tribal backgrounds who aspire to practice in their home communities.

Through a holistic admissions framework, we take into account students’ experiences, commitment and passion to provide high quality, and compassionate care to underserved populations across the Northern California and Oregon region.

Native American matriculants can participate in the Wy’east Post Baccalaureate Pathway through OHSU’s Northwest Native American Center of Excellence (NNACOE). This novel one-year post baccalaureate pathway prepares American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) to matriculate at OHSU and/or UC Davis and the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.

COMPADRE enrollment is contingent upon acceptance into medical school.
